Re-Judaizing Jesus Going Main Stream

The March 24 edition of Time Magazine lists 10 Ideas That Are Changing The World. Check out number 10.

More than money, more than politics, ideas are the secret power that this planet runs on. Here are a few you need to know about:

  1. Common Wealth

  2. The End of Customer Service

  3. The Post-Movie-Star Era

  4. Reverse Radicalism

  5. Kitchen Chemistry

  6. Geoengineering

  7. Synthetic Authenticity

  8. The New Austerity

  9. Mandatory Health

  10. Re-Judaizing Jesus

Sorry I've been blogging absent. I have been in lala land, lots of napping and no writing. I had a root canal last week and had problems. I'm living on pain killers and gargling with NyQuil (it works short term waiting on the dentist over the weekend). Hope to be back to normal next week.

Thanks Kathleen for telling me about this article.

Wow! Maybe we should buy some copies for all our friends and relatives who think we're nuts...or in a cult, and highlight that # 10. LOL!

Btw...praying you feel better soon, ((Robin))!

I agree with P* - I sent it to my mother. :) Thanks for sharing this.

Mornin' Stephanie,:o)

Well, I'm not sure how your mother feels about the whole Hebrew roots thing, but don't expect fireworks to go off for her...unless she's already open to it. My mom has read several things from us over the years, and she STILL asks why we're on this path.:-/ So...I decided to stop casting my pearls there, so to speak.:o) We're a very close knit family, but there's an obvious elephant in the room at times.;)

Oh, it didn't sit well. She said that she'd read it, but told me instead of a man who said that we are wrong in our interpretation. Somehow I guess I'm not worshiping Jeshua because it's not on a Sunday (though we attend a church on Sunday as well), which led to a discussion on how I'm apparently telling her that I know more about scripture. Evidently as long as I am doing things to either be close to my in law's or to have a "family day" then it doesn't make me out of line.

Oh, I'm so sorry.:( I totally understand what you're feeling. For some reason, people (mostly other Christians, sadly) will often feel threatened by your enthusiasm. It makes no sense, I know...but believe me, we've seen it over and over again thru the years.

On a brighter note, as we all learn & grow in this walk, God gives us an incredible inner peace and a stability in our homes & families that FAR outweighs the opposition we often receive from others. He is SO good.:o)

That's actually one thing that surprised me. My mom did say that she's noticed that we are becoming closer as a family since we've started making some of these changes/learning more. So, hopefully that is a start for us (and for her too!) Thanks for your kind words, P. I'm so glad that we have this community online!

I just realized that I made a spelling error in my other post too - I meant to type Yeshua, and I guess out of habit I went to the J first. I can't edit it now. Oh well - everyone makes typing mistakes I guess! :)

Ha, well...if it makes you feel any better, I didn't notice the typo.:o) I guess that (and many other things:) makes us friends.:o)

Btw, I'm thankful for this community, too. I've visited the Biblical Holidays site a zillion times over the years, but this forum makes entering into the discussions so nice, and...I dunno...home-y feeling, huh? Lovin' it...

Oh I agree. It makes it more accessible I think. Hopefully it will start a new wave of participation too. I know that the old boards got a little quiet sometimes. I like the feel to this.

And thanks for not noticing the typo friend! :)

Thanks for this, Robin. :) I'm going to post a link to it at my blog too. From the sounds of things, it'd be a great piece of "information" for our friends and families to find on their own rather than our pushing it on them. We've got stories like the ones told here too. It's too bad.

Thankyou Robin, interesting reading. For some reason most of us have some external problems with family. For some reason our belief's are viewed as a threat to them.

Robin, sorry to hear about your recent illness, I pray that all is on the mend now.
