I just got back from a teaching by one of our YWAM discipleship training school teachers, and the Lord really came down in a neat way. The thing that caught my attention is that we are often so busy trying to get people to figure out the form of our religion, that they miss seeing that the Kingdom of God is about our King - Jesus and about our relationship with Him. Everything else is the "form" that comes after, that comes out of our relationship with Him. It is theology, culture, doctrine (religion). More than anything He wants to show us that He loves us as we are, and He will show us all those things and how they fit together in His time. As I walked home, I thought about the whole Hebrew Roots thing, and I think I just got my eyes off of the fact that it isn't the form that comes first, but my relationship with Him. He will faithfully guide the rest, as He always has. I am not going to throw out the baby with the bath water regarding Hebrew roots, because I know that God has been leading me down this path, but I certainly want to focus more on my relationship with Him, and let Him guide me in the rest. God is faithful.
The Kingdom of God is something I think the Lord wants me to study next. That is something the Jesus talked a lot about - I need to grasp it better.
Sitting at His feet,
Carol
