Mentioning the Names of Other Gods?

I've had a bit of a rap on the virtual knuckles today on another network by a hard-core sacred namer for automatically feeding links to my blog which included ideas for studying Ancient Greece. Th...

This has been on my wishlist for a while. It looks good! Do you think, Robin (or Deborah), that it is most suited to somebody who is totally new to the hebraic roots of the faith, or is it also suitable for somebody who has been part of the movem...

Profile Information

Do you support Israel and the Jewish people?
Yes
How long have you been interested in the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith?
At least 10 years
Were did you hear about this site?
I'm a previous member, not sure where I heard about it.
About Me:
I was raised evangelical in the uk, grounded in sound doctrine including a love of Israel and the Jewish people.

I came out of mainstream christianity about 10 or so years ago as a result partly of studies revealing the questionable origin of many Christian traditions and a disillusionment with the Church, and started down the path toward Judaism. I have sat on the fence and got a little lost along the way (several times!)

The more I studied Judaism though, the more I was convinced that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah, and not only that but Lord and King and indeed "God", one with the Father, and I don't say that lightly - it's a conclusion only reached after a lot of study and soul-searching.

I suppose that now, although I still feel a little lost (in terms of fellowship), I do tend towards the Messianic way. I try to respect Shabbat and the feasts, but can't live a very orthodox lifestyle as I'm married to an agnostic who's not very impressed by religion of any flavour.

I have "made peace" with Christianity and the Church, although I am fairly sure that I will always be slightly out of step with mainstream beliefs and practices, and hope that I can be something of a bridge-builder.
