I saw the homeschool site, but haven't joined it...I should. I homeschooled all my kids, except Will my 14yr old went to public school for sports...:( all I have at home now is my 7yr old...

At 10:43am on November 29, 2008, Carol said…: I totally understand that. We are gradually backing away from Christmas as well, but my husband still isn't on board with me much. He is all for downsizing Christmas though. We have completely taken the Santa Claus out of our holiday, and this year I'm considering not putting up a Christmas tree... Gifts will be minimal...we don't have any money for it so it will be easy. We've never let ourselves go in debt for Christmas. I will be doing some advent stuff...essentially it is Bible study around the theme of the birth of Christ... I'm still trying to hear from the Lord around this subject.
