I was in a class recently (non-Messianic) where we discussed the purpose of the Law being to show us where we fall short in relation to G-d's perfect standard, i.e, to point out our sin. There are many in this group who believe the law has been do...
I am a member of Torah Club of FFOZ and their forum. They are currently doing a study for each day of the counting of the omer. It is studying the Pirke Avot (A compilation of ethical teachings of the sages). Basically, it is citing necessary beha...
Hi Jody,
I loved the pictures of your sukkah. Tabernacles has been a difficult one for us as we live in Wyoming and by October the nights are really cold and inclement weather is to be expected. This last year we got six inches of snow for the fi...
it's kind of a stir fry tonight.. onions, brussel sprouts, zucchini, asparagus, cauliflower, and chicken.. with a combination of apricot jam and teriyaki sauce over a bed of quinoa and lentils.
Hi I notice your online and I wanted to stop by and say hi.
I know its hard to find like minded people to fellowship with. If you end up being the only one online here and you want to chat or visit me you can find me on our ministries website. My husband is a Rabbi and the website is an awesome place to learn deep teachings in who you are, how to make oil and keep your menorah lit, and prepare yourself as the bride-A Kingdom of Priests.. We teach the Greater Torah by the Spirit. We teach how Yeshua taught and lived...he taught the Kingdom of Elohim!! Id love to see you there. Shosh

I am not affiliated with any groups in the area. I've not been back to Columbia for very long. I was in Raleigh, NC for 20 years although Columbia is home. I would love any information you might have.
Mary, we are in Livingston, about 1 hour north of the Gardiner entrance to the park, so not too far away! Yes, we have no congregation here either, which makes it very tough at times. We did fellowship with a group in Bozeman but that congregation when through a huge split so we left there. My husband is a believer, but we have had some very bad experiences in congregations so he will not be part of them at all anymore. He is very resistant to change, so I do my best not to pressure him into anything as he'd rather not have anything to do with this "jewish stuff..." Same 'ol story, I suppose! I have heard the online messages that you were telling me about and they're great...I should get back to listening to those again--they were well worth the time! And I'll e-mail you the holy times book. It is excellent. I know for me it will be like trying to move a brick wall to alter my schedule more than I already have, so you're not alone there, especially with my husband and I being on a different page about everything! I have the same attitude as you about it...when it is the right time, the opportunity will present itself. Glad to know another rocky mountain gal! :-D
I made a grave mistake. Our girls' homeschoolers' girl scout group is having a lock in on Nov. 14 (Friday night). Not thinking about the date, I signed them up. Now I realize that it is Sabbath. Ugh! We had a talk about it today, and we are not going to go to the lock-in, but it is a grievous decision for them. At least they do have a ballet that we can attend the next evening with the same group. I hate it when I do things like this. I'm also finding that this group is not very close to being on the same page with us even though they are homeschoolers. Last week they had a Halloween party without notifying me that it would take place ahead of time. I have a lot of praying to do about continuing with this group...
I'm sorry about the ugliness that lady came at you with regarding your eating. I don't know why some people feel it is their job to be the Holy Spirit in our lives! How did the lady who came to keep things from getting ugly handle it? Did you feel she did a good job?
Hugs,
Carol
PS I meant to leave you this comment three hours ago, but I accidentally left it at Tracy's wall! I did read your follow up comment, so I'm glad that you will have more opportunities to work on this with her. I also sort of see where she is coming from.
Shalom Mary, I was just wondering if you are still counting? I know we differ in many ways, and I assume your count and mine will be off due to calendar differences, but we are on day 35 today. How about you? I see you have not posted for over a month, are you still here?

About Me:
I am married with a 16 year old at home. We just celebrated our fifth Passover. I have been studying Hebrew roots for many years. My husband joined me in this walk five years ago when he agreed to "try" Passover. It has been a joy since then to see the excitement in my husband as we have incorporated kosher diet and the feasts into our lives.
