Hi I notice your online and I wanted to stop by and say hi.
I know its hard to find like minded people to fellowship with. If you end up being the only one online here and you want to chat or visit me you can find me on our ministries website. My husband is a Rabbi and the website is an awesome place to learn deep teachings in who you are, how to make oil and keep your menorah lit, and prepare yourself as the bride-A Kingdom of Priests.. We teach the Greater Torah by the Spirit. We teach how Yeshua taught and lived...he taught the Kingdom of Elohim!! Id love to see you there. Shosh

Thanks.

Made challah yesterday, and left it cooling on the table. Bub just couldn't resist test tasting it. Thankfully I had made two, so there was still one that was presentable for Sabbath.
I too mainly sew clothing, and I suppose that is how I branched out into other areas. I was looking for ways to "decorate" clothing and made them different to the usual run of the mill clothing. I found a book "Inspiration" and it is mainly an embroidery book, but the first one that I saw was incorporating embroidery on clothing. When I read the pattern I realised that I could do all the stitches required, and so there started my path. Then I discovered a Smocking and Embroidery book, and well the rest is history. Finally I stumbled on Sew Beautiful mag and that started my trek into heirloom sewing, which I adore.
Saddly though I haven't had much time to "indulge" in recent years. Was working full time, then we started homeschooling, and then my last baby arrived.

I just noticed that you lead the music team. Do you play an instrument? My DH and I used to be part of the music team in a "past" chruch.
Ok no more questions, will make this do for now.
Talk later.

Quote from Lori (Well, I sew and back my own bread,)

Really you back your own bread, now that sounds interesting. I only ever bake my bread, but I do like to back my quilts. lol

Sorry couldn't resist.

I gave Pam a recipe for an Anadama bread, which we love here. Of course she opted to wait until I can over and made it for her before she tried it.
Have recently been given a book with traditional challah recipies in it and it also shows how to do the 6 braid. Have been perfecting that, and the last couple haven't been too bad. The first couple were terrible.
What kind of sewing do you prefer to do. I have so much sewing to do that it is daunting at the moment, and of course most of it self imposed, as a number are quilts that I have to get finished, especially my sons wedding quilt.
Ok I should be sewing now, but took the chance of the computer being "unattended".
Talk later.

Good morning Lori, how are you. Pam was only telling me on the weekend that I was the Australian version of you. lol
Now that I have a face to go with the name, it should be easier to place people.
So what exactly do you do that makes us so similar?
I see you were a birth educator, that must have been interesting. I have been researching into doula's which I think would be so interesting, but unfortunately there is not much of a calling for that type of thing here.
Anyway, hope to hear from you again.
God bless,
Tracey
