Hi I notice your online and I wanted to stop by and say hi.
I know its hard to find like minded people to fellowship with. If you end up being the only one online here and you want to chat or visit me you can find me on our ministries website. My husband is a Rabbi and the website is an awesome place to learn deep teachings in who you are, how to make oil and keep your menorah lit, and prepare yourself as the bride-A Kingdom of Priests.. We teach the Greater Torah by the Spirit. We teach how Yeshua taught and lived...he taught the Kingdom of Elohim!! Id love to see you there. Shosh

Shalom Leah, You are very welcome! Our celebrations/ get togethers this year were great. But we don't have that opportunity every year. The most important thing is that Scripture commands us to teach to our children and talk about it as we walk etc. I am a Realtor and a School bus driver. These two jobs afford me the oppotunity to adjust my schedule to my needs. It also puts me in contact with a wide variety of people from varied beliefs and positions. Just yesterday a lender spent 20 minutes asking questions and wants to "buy me coffee" one day when we are not pressed for time to talk further. This whole time my client was listening to this. (the lender and I had talked before so he had some questions which he had thought of from our previous discussion) AWESOME how YHVH works in our lives and makes these divine appointments!! Every year that we keep the Feasts we learn more and are further blessed.
As far as the Scriptures on doorposts... I know many who have mezzuzim on every door. We have a mezzuzah on the front and on the bedroom, as well as the actual white doorframe with the Scriptures written on the front door. As a matter of interest, we had some missionaries (they were lost) come to the door the other day, and they really were surprised and pleased with the doorframe too. They asked if they could come back. The whole thing is there is nothing wrong with traditions, as long as they are not originally pagan. You can make your own family traditions for the Feasts. You can adopt "jewish" tradtions. But just be wary of ANY with pagan origins. Even some of the jewish tradtions were based in superstition and paganism. You need to throw out the trash and hold fast to that which is true!! Blessings to you on your journey, I truely enjoy all our disussions. It has a tendancy to be a lonely road, and often times it feels like you are the only one swimming upstream!

Shalom Leah, I am so sorry I didn't respond earlier. I am a computer illiterate! I only just found and figured out that there were messages for me on "my" page. What we do for the Fall Feasts... HMmm. Well, for Yom Teruah we celebrated with our youngest son and his children. The little girls are babysat by my husband "Sabbah". We blew shofars at sunset and said the blessings and lit the Sabbath candles and sang Sabbath songs. We pretty much do that every Sabbath (blow shofar/ blessing/ Sabbath candles/ sing)then we had a Sabbath meal and discussion. We do not have a local congregation, we are all pretty far apart in mileage. So most of the time we fellowship with only our family, or just a couple of families. We are having a get together/ fellowship for the beginning of Sukkot. It is at a local hall. We will build and decorate a sukkah together, blow shofars, do davidic dancing, sing, have study and discussion, and a shared meal. For Yom haKippurim, we were alone. I took the day off from work, and we studied, read, prayed, and disussed. Obviously we fasted. From sunset to sunset. Then we ate a "break fast". Some years we have gathered together with a couple of other families for the "break" fast. We always have a sukkah at home and sleep in it the entire week of Sukkoth.
I also saw your comment from stephanie about the mezuzah. We actually have the Scriptures written directly on our door frames. (painted them white) But we have a couple of mezuzahs too which we received as gifts!

It's not weird to want a mazuzah. Or, at least if it is then I'm weird too. lol I want one. I've been looking at different sites online but just haven't gotten the money up for it yet. I have my eye on a few. :)

Thanks for the chatting about the Messianic Congregation we visited. I'm having a ball chatting back and forth about it!
