I don't know if this is correct, per say. But Little Critter and I divide it up into a couple chapters a day and read them Monday thru Friday. Sabbath we have Torah Study and readings at Tabernacle. And Sunday we usually do a family study of the T...

Good point Wife of Chuza....I now remember hearing our Rabbi say something about that idea also....I'd forgotten it until you pointed that out. Thanks for reminding me. Shalom,Spitfire

Tishuvah, Would the angels not be going up and down the ladder to enter the earth realm and return to the heavenly realm? I believe I read somewhere that YHWH lives in the 3rd heavenly realm. So wouldn't the ladder be a link between the two realms...

I agree with Mr. Pryor. Shabbat is made for man...all of us! I know that before we started celebrating and observing Shabbat it was like life was just one big never ending rat race. Since we started observing Shabbat, it's like night and day diffe...

Is not Yeshua the living Torah? Then how could the Torah be sin since that would mean Yeshua would be sin...... But to use the words quoted, the law could not be sin because that would mean Yeshua sinned. And since the B'rit Hadashah says more tha...

Robin, Hope you had a blessed and wonderful Shavuot. We enjoyed using lots of the ideas from the book Biblical Holidays. Plus the fun we had at Temple. I pray you were feeling well for it. Shalom, Spitfire

Thanks Mary. I've watched the video samples online and was interested. Not sure how Dodi would respond. He likes what we do now, but still is a little worried about being 'too Jewish" (whatever that means!). I look forward to seeing what you think...

About Me:
I am a stay at home homeschool mom. I also work part time for two friends (only when they need me) and take care of my elderly parents. We have celebrated Jewish Feasts for several years, but are still leaning how to do them. I enjoy teaching my Little Critter about his Papa (Abba) and learning more myself. I also enjoy gardening, crafting, and Messianic music.

Happy Dancing!!!

Well, we've been a little hectic around here. We survived Ike with no real problems. A little bit of rain and a little wind, but nothing worse than a bad thunderstorm. Papa is SO good to us. Unfortunately, my little sister and her husband weren't so lucky. Their house flooded (like about 4 ft of water in the house!), and then when the electricity was finally turned back on....the house caught on fire. Oops. So now they had a soggy, smoky, smelly mess. On the bright side, FEMA and the insurance c… Continue

Peace in times of uncertainty.

Aha! I just figured out how to add another post to this blog!!!! (Ok, I'm sometimes a little slow....) We've been watching Hurrican Ike's progress for the last week or so. Now that it looks like we're right in the path of it after it makes landfall, I'm simply amazed at how peaceful I feel. We live in Central Texas...about 175 miles from the coast of Galveston. We usually don't have to worry much about Hurricanes. But as it became more and more evident that Ike has a bulls eye on Galveston, and… Continue

First blog

Well folks, this is my first experience with blogging, so be gentle with me. I'm really happy to be able to join this group. We live in small town USA (that's the United Suburbs of Austin ya know. hehehehe) and don't have a messianic group near us. So I try to learn as much as I can myself and then share it with my family. My DH is dyslexic so doesn't read often unless he has to for school. (He's a teacher/coach) We started celebrating Chanukah when Little Critter (our youngest son who's 8) was… Continue

Thank you. I am hoping that my mom will come around, and stop trying to get my kids to live differently. Like eating pork and christmas, along with all the other pagan holidays. It will work out. I am living at teaching my children to live by the Torah, and that is what matters. I hope you had a good Sabbath.

I lived in Texas most of my life, can be a great place. Thank you for your comment. I too want my journey to be exciting. I have spent a lot of time on here learning as much as possible, and trying to find what is the truth and what is not. I have ordered my Torah, hope it will be here soon. I guess the hardest part is everyones attitude about it, especially my mom. Shalom.

Hi I notice your online and I wanted to stop by and say hi.
I know its hard to find like minded people to fellowship with. If you end up being the only one online here and you want to chat or visit me you can find me on our ministries website. My husband is a Rabbi and the website is an awesome place to learn deep teachings in who you are, how to make oil and keep your menorah lit, and prepare yourself as the bride-A Kingdom of Priests.. We teach the Greater Torah by the Spirit. We teach how Yeshua taught and lived...he taught the Kingdom of Elohim!! Id love to see you there. Shosh

Carol, you can also read the sections on the fall holidays at the side of the main page to get ideas for what is involved and how to do the fall feasts. They're fun! And of course you can always ask others how they do it! You'd get lots of options and some really fun ideas. Hope that helps. Shalom, Joie

Thanks for giving me suggestions and such. I know it will come in handy. I haven't celebrated any of the holidays. I would like to very much. Hopefully soon I can get Robin Sampson's book to help me figure out how to go about it.

Have a blessed Shabbot.

Hi Joie, No problem. I would like to look into the link you shared sometime soon. Right now I can't because my internet use is limited. Thanks for sharing with me what you do. Will you be observing any of the fall holidays?

I see that you like Messianic music. Can you share more about that? I am new to Hebrew Roots (less than a year).
